Junior Spartans
School Aged | 5+ years
Overview
Recreational Gymnastics, Active Boys, Cheer and Tumbling are designed to build skill technique for both boys and girls in a fun and encouraging environment. The focus is on developing strength, flexibility and coordination in a fun and encouraging environment. The Advanced class is designed to start working on more complex gymnastics skills for those that have prior gymnastics experience.
Classes are 1 hour long.
Jr. Spartans 1-4
- Recreational artistic gymnastics classes open to all skill levels
- 1 hour, weekly
- Focus: learning and mastering basic gymnastics skills on the vault, bars, beam, floor, and tumble track (trampoline)

Active Boys 1&2
- Recreational gymnastics class for boys of all skill levels
- 1 hour, weekly
- Focus: learning basic elements on parallel bars, pommel horse, rings, high bar, floor, vault, and tumble track (trampoline)

Cheer 1-3
- Recreational cheer classes designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of cheerleading in a fun, supportive, and low pressure environment
- 1 hour, weekly
- Children will learn the basics of jumps, stunting, tumbling, and dance!

Students enrolled in Term 1 will automatically be registered for Terms 2 and 3.

All students will be charged a $50 Manitoba Gymnastics Insurance fee upon registration.
You can choose to withdraw at the end of term 1 or term 2. You must provide withdrawal notice prior to the next term starting. Once the term starts there will be no refunds other than for medical reasons. When you register you are registering for the full year, if you want to withdraw you must email the office prior to the start of term 2 or term 3.
There are no group or sibling discounts for any recreational, pre-competitive or competitive classes
Funding is available through KidSport for any of our classes for those that qualify.

Recreational Class Attire
- Athletic tights/shorts & shirt. Please ensure the shirt doesn’t flip over your child’s head when upside down.
- Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail and out of your child’s eyes.
- For safety reasons please ensure your child is not wearing any jewelry. Stud earrings are fine.
- Labelled water bottle.
- There is no food, gum or drinks other than water allowed in the gym.
- Parents will only be allowed into the gym for the Mini 1 Parent assisted class.
